World Ambassador for Miss Black USA Pagent 2007

The 2007 Miss Black USA Scholarship Pageant was held Friday Night June 2, 2007 at the Senegambia Beach Hotel. The much-hyped pageant climaxed with the crowning of Miss Black Tennessee, Kalilah Allen-Harris, as the winner of the breathtaking event, which was marked by glamour and razzmatazz. Out of a bevy of 36 young, beautiful, intelligent, eloquent, debonair and talented belles, the 22-year-old Tennessee queen emerged victorious after stunning the crowd with her enchanting voice, breathtaking catwalk and swanky dress Kalilah Allen-Harris took home the crown of Miss Black USA in the Miss Black USA pageant held at the Independence Stadium in the West African country of the Republic of Gambia. As Miss Black USA, she received a $20,000 scholarship and has become the national spokesperson for the Miss Black USA organization. A Montgomery, Ala. native, Allen-Harris is a graduate of the University of Tennessee and reigns as Miss Black Tennessee 2006-2007. She is in her sophomore year at Meharry Medical School, studying to become an orthopedic surgeon.
